INNOVATIVE POSSIBILITIES
APRIL 28, 2020 | CHICAGO, IL—
CHICAGO, IL—The sixth annual Kompas Fellowship has been awarded to Ethan Hop (University of Michigan, 2020). Kompas fellows spend 80% of their time on MA’s project work and the remaining 20% exploring an innovative idea that has the potential to affect the field of architecture.
The innovative idea explored by Hop will focus on overcoming differences in value propositions between developers, architects, and urban planners in order to improve city landscapes. Through the Kompas Fellowship, Hop plans to formulate design approaches and shift the narrative of private urban development in order to create civic spaces of greater social, cultural, and fiscal equity.
Stay tuned for more on Hop’s fellowship, as well as findings from 2019 Fellow, Angel Tang.
