The Merion - Amenities
Located near the Lake Michigan shoreline, this historic building was originally constructed in 1919 as the opulent 350-key North Shore Hotel. The facility was adapted in the early 1960’s to serve as a senior-living community and has operated as such ever since. Extensive renovations were made to the historic structure allowing The Merion to offer dining and hospitality amenities for use by residents and the general public alike.
The JEM Dining Room includes bold furniture and elegant light fixtures, elevating the space beyond that of a typical dining hall. The Crystal Ballroom, a 200-seat banquet facility, showcases historic chandeliers in a grand ballroom that easily transitions to host a range of events. Adjacent is The Merion Room, a bar/lounge area that offers residents and visitors a locale for informal social gathering. When time is limited, the quick-service Bistro offers delicious alternatives to formal dining.
