Evelina was born in Kaunas, Lithuania. There, she began taking art classes which lead to a deep interest in architecture. When she was seven, her family moved to the United States where she grew up in the western suburbs. As a student at the University of Minnesota, she was able to explore a variety of ideas that would help expand her knowledge of design. After completing her Bachelor of Science in Architecture, she struck out into the world of design and landed at Myefski Architects.
Modern Scandinavian architecture speaks to Evelina. She appreciates the emphasis on lighting and the use of raw materials that are honest to their original form. Evelina feels most inspired when running along the Baltic Sea in Lithuania. There, the beach is often quiet, so she can focus on her thoughts, the sound of the waves, and fresh air.
