In 1994, John W. Myefski began his own architectural design practice as John W. Myefski, AIA, Architects, Inc.  John pursued a career path that has relied on and broadened his design talents as evident in his curriculum vitae.  The firm’s workload expanded rapidly and in 1995 Myefski Cook Architects, Inc was formed and based its operations in Glencoe, Illinois.  The firm grew from its inception by providing a primary focus on design, service, and attention to detail.  Then in 2009 Myefski Architects, Inc was launched and is proud to call the historic landmark Chandler Building in downtown Evanston, Illinois its home.  Conveniently positioned between the City of Chicago and the Northshore this location is ideal for the firms’ commitment to serving it wide range of clients.

Services provided by Myefski Architects, Inc include Master Planning, Schematic Design through Construction Observation phases for projects ranging from Residential Renovations/Restorations to complex Mixed-Use Commercial projects.  We are committed to sustainable design and building practices to achieve a more energy efficient and environmentally conscientious project.  These ‘green’ concepts can be implemented through the use of the National Association of Home Builders' Green Homebuilding Guidelines.  We also offer expertise to achieve various levels of LEED certification.

Project types include: restaurants, hotel facilities, retail, athletic clubs, banking facilities, townhomes, condominiums, and new single family homes, and residential additions.
